There is clear intent behind what Claire and James have built, not just to comply, but to create something that meaningfully improves outcomes for children and supports families. That effort, care and willingness to do things differently should be recognised and encouraged from a regulatory standpoint point and we couldn’t be happier with how they are shaping our daughter to become a confident, happy and kind young person.

Claire and James and the whole team go above and beyond, they have given their hearts and souls to The Nest and it is truly felt by all the children and parents.

As a grandmother of 2 children who have had the incredible benefit of the provision offered by Claire and James at TPN I am so impressed by their work ethic, their utter devotion and concern for every single child in their care. The facilities, I have watched them grow and build, have been made with care, thought and FUN in mind. Every staff member I have met has been professional, loving and welcoming.

Communication is excellent. Not just through the daily app updates, but also regular phone calls and messages. We feel very listened to as parents, and that our views are always valued. It feels much more like an extension of our family than a business relationship. The family social events throughout the year are also a wonderful opportunity for The Nest community to come together and see how the children play at the setting. It’s lovely to see.

The atmosphere at The Pheasant Nest is joyful and deeply child centred. As a parent, it is incredibly reassuring to know your child is spending their day somewhere that not only keeps them safe but truly understands and supports who they are. We are deeply grateful for the positive impact TPN and team have had on our son and our family.

What really stands out to us is the ethos of the setting. It genuinely feels different to other nurseries we looked at—it’s a true “home from home.” Claire and James clearly live and breathe The Nest, and we trust the whole team completely. We have complete confidence in them to keep our children safe and well cared for…It is genuinely not an overstatement to say that choosing The Nest was the best decision we have made for our boys.

The Pheasant Nest is so special and I can not think of a more magical place for my children to be, surrounded by nature, exploring, playing, eating delicious food, sleeping in fresh air, laughing with friends.

The staff are without exception kind, committed, and wonderful role models. I think our son feels genuinely loved and talks about them regularly and with such warmth.

The Nest is genuinely a loving home from home – something we really valued for our one year old.

It is a magical place! It is everything I could wish for, for her! I love the attitude of the staff, their patience and creativity and the way they engage with her. I love the setting, it is beautiful and really fuels adventure and imaginative play. I love how she sleeps outside, which seems so healthy! And how she knows about collecting eggs and watching tractors and sees the seasons change, up close.

Another huge strength is the support offered to families. The staff are always on hand to answer questions and provide guidance on challenges such as potty training, sleep routines, or other developmental transitions. They work together with parents to ensure consistency between home and nursery which has been invaluable for us.

From the moment we visited, it felt like somewhere our daughter would be truly understood and supported. It’s such a reassuring environment.
